Yesterday I was having a temporary identity crisis. As I was thanking my friends for reminding me that my blog name really fits I had an "Aha" moment.
Not only am I a mother of many children, but I'm a doula. What do doulas do? They mother mothers. I have mothered many women in my life as a doula. Of course the name Madre de Muchos fits.
Silly me!

About Me
- Doulala
- I am a wife, mother of four, doula, and childbirth educator. My experiences with birthing and breastfeeding my children put me on the path to helping other women. The birth of my oldest son was full of many medical interventions that left me feeling violated and bullied instead of empowered. I knew I wanted something different for myself and other women. I feel that it is very important for women to be educated and supported so that their families can have the best start possible.

Thing 1 & Thing 2 - My 6 year old (fraternal) twin boys; they are 16 months younger than Girl Thing.

You do mother many and the name is all yours. Mothering is not only about our children it is about the loving and caring and nurturing and you do all of that so well. Mother Theresa was the mother of many but she never actually had children of her own.
Honestly, I thought you chose your blog title because you are a doula!haha
